I was at the supermarket and decided to buy something different for once in a while, where I usually go for a pin (even though it's the same kikumasa!). I was not expecting that. I wasn't expecting that much, but it's good, good, good.
It's mild on the palate. It has a sweetness that rolls off the palate and disappears quickly. It's not overpowering, so you can reach for it again.
Kikumasa is said to be dry, but I really don't think sweet and spicy can be described in one word.
It's probably best served warmed as a sake, but it can also be drunk cold on its own. It's not flashy, but it's a good sake.
Don't underestimate packaged sake. Is it just my stupid tongue? (lol)
