ccop's home delivery catalog includes a weekly selection of famous regional sake. So far we have had "Iori" from Okayama, "Drunken Whale" from Kochi, "Hakkaisan" from Niigata, etc. I wondered how {coop handles sake}. I was wondering how Coop handles sake, but it seems to be well packaged, so I buy it on rare occasions.
The sake is a limited edition junmai ginjo that has been aged over the winter. It has a slight pineapple🍍 like fruity aroma. It has a clean finish and on the first day I tried it with smoked mackerel, and the mackerel's maturity (?) was lost on the taste. On the second day, I drank it with chestnut rice and salted rice.
On the second day, it was good with chestnut rice and grilled chicken with salted lemon.
