morkzg
Surprisingly aromatic nose, featuring sweet, overripe banana, some apple, raisins, prunes and other dried fruits, and steamed rice. Maybe a slight nutty earthiness.
This sake feels very thick on the tongue at first, but very quickly spreads out across the palate and dries off, leaving behind a rich, creamy butter-like feel and flavour. There is good mushroom-like umami, and earthy cereal notes from the rice.
Finish is quite dry, but not so light and crisp like other dry futsu-shu.
