Akabu Shuzo is a Morioka sake brewery that showed great strides after relocating due to the earthquake. I opened a bottle after remembering that I had gotten it while on a business trip to Tohoku last year and had put it away (do your job!). Akabu's standard Jungin has a good balance of sweetness and rice flavor. It suddenly became hot, so I drank it cold.
The second one is tokoroten, which has recently become a favorite of mine. It is served with Sanbaizu (vinegar) and Sansho (Japanese pepper).
