Ibaraki Prefecture GW's Biggest Event The Kasama Pottery Fire Festival (Himatsuri) A pottery market where many potteries and artists set up store. At the festival, a local sake brewery, Isokura Sake Brewery, was selling sake samples, and this year I bought a bottle of "Kaze", a daiginjo made with 50% polished rice from Gohyakumangoku (a type of rice produced in Japan). I poured it into a flat sake cup I found at the venue and enjoyed it while eating Kasama's specialty, Inari-san! Subdued aroma Slightly sweet Elegant and refreshing aftertaste Yet, it is still mellow and drinkable. Daiginjo that can be easily matched with meals The weather was beautiful and a fresh breeze was blowing, Drinking sake outside on a day like this is the ultimate luxury! It's also fun to drink from the morning and walk around looking at vessels in a good mood!
