From the etiquette
Our brewery is located in the center of a basin surrounded by mountains from north to south on the banks of the Kishi River, which originates from Mt. Rice cultivation has flourished in this area since the Yayoi period (710-794), and sake brewing using water and rice has flourished in this area. Aka Kido" is a sake brewed with red rice, which was introduced to Japan in prehistoric times, with a focus on our hometown's roots. Its hue is pink-gold. The rich aroma is reminiscent of caramel and ripe apricots, and the moderately ripe sweetness, acidity, and astringency form a sense of body while maintaining a balance that is typical of Kishu. We hope you can feel the climate of Kishu.
