Once upon a time
I met up with a friend from Sapporo when we were camping in Hokkaido.
Kuniumi Sake Brewery, the northernmost sake brewery in Mashige.
It was a time when there were no cell phones or navigation systems, so it was fun to know what time to be there.
Naturally, we were given a short tour of the brewery.
I borrowed a robe and took a picture with the brewery staff.
It is still one of my most treasured memories.
At the time, I didn't know what sake tasted like.
It's been more than 20 years since I last tasted Kuniumare.
Especially recommended at room temperature
Light, slightly spicy.
I drank it at room temperature and cold.
I prefer it cold.
