新舘幸樹
It's Hachisen again, but I haven't had the pink label in two years. I bought it immediately because I don't see it very often at my favorite liquor store.
It is fire-aged, so the usual green apple aroma is very slight.
This year's Hakusen is drier than usual, but the fact that it is ale-soaked gives it a tighter impression.
The usual sweetness is present, but the bitterness comes first. From the middle to the latter half of the bottle, the sweetness and spiciness come together.
For this brand, it has a strong sake taste.
As for snacks, I paired it with a purely Japanese hot pot since it is this time of year, and it was a perfect match. Perhaps it would be good as a heated sake.
