Shinshu Travels➂
Matsumoto City, Dai-Shinshu Kurabiraki
The event was very crowded in the intense heat!
The event started at 11:00 a.m. with a Kagami-opening ceremony and the serving of sake from the barrel. The sake was a blend of sweet and slightly bitter, with a complex taste, yet refreshing and delicious. The last part of the drink was quite a lot of sake, which they asked us to pour as we liked.
The Nagano specialty, "Sanzoku-age (fried bandit)" and the pate shown in the photo are just a few of the many gourmet items that go well with sake!
My favorite was the ultra-harsh junmai ginjo.
It has a sharp yet very fruity taste, and goes well on its own or with a variety of dishes.
I like sakes that have a clear flavor profile!
Father's Day gift 🎁.
