This is the second hiyaoroshi sake I purchased this year.
As a lover of Junmaishu and Omachi, I had no choice but to drink this brand when I came across it in the store.
I had it at room temperature, and the aroma was of grain, which is typical of Junmai. The attack is the flavor of the rice, and the taste is full and smooth like an Omachi. I thought it was going to finish as it was, but it had a nice acidity and bitterness that gave the sake a solid impact.
Every time, this brewery's Nanada surprises me, but at 1,300 yen, it's the strongest in terms of cost, and this year's Hiyaoroshi was obviously going to be overdone, and it tasted fantastic! I was very impressed with the 70.5% Omachi, which is considered to be a raging horse, and its habit-free finish.
