Endo Sake Brewery's Storehouse Opening (Autumn) is now underway. The event is crowded with stalls and street performers.
The highlight of the event was the "Fukuro Hari" (hanging in a bag), which tasted sweet, light, and had a nice aroma.
It is also sold in bottles, but we were able to have a good one that was unique to the venue, including the fee to watch the sakurohangi being hung in front of us.
For ¥400, you can sample 17 different types of sake. One drink each, one-way with no re-entry, so it's pretty busy. The pace is fast and the sake goes around.
You can also tour the brewery. Visitors can buy limited-edition draft sake. Mr. Takano-san, who is in charge of explaining the brewery, is a toji (master brewer) who also makes comets. It was fun.
