I bought the saku when I noticed it on my first visit to the liquor store where I went looking for Kaze no Mori.
It is "Saku Kaminoho" which is made from "Kaminoho", the best rice for sake brewing in Mie Prefecture.
It is said that the capacity is 750ml so that there will not be too much when you drink it in a wine glass.
(A wine glass is 125ml per glass).
The top note is pineapple. The taste is sweet but complex which is hard to describe for me.
It is a bit viscous and leaves a bitter taste at the end.
As I drank it over the course of the day, the ginjo aroma settled down and the bitterness lasted longer.
It has a strong aroma, so it is difficult to pair with regular meals. It seems to be good with sweets.
Next, I would like to compare it with Z, a year-round product made with regular rice.
(The owner of the liquor store said it was made with regular rice, but some websites say it's made with sake brewing rice, so I'm not sure which is correct 😅)
