The standing aroma is mild. The mouthfeel has a moderate sweetness and a fullness of rice, with a lactic acidity accentuated by a refreshing finish. It is an easy-drinking sake with a classical flavor rather than a robust, sturdy sake.
While the umami of the rice can be felt, none of the five flavors are too strongly pronounced, making it easy to pair with food. It would be good with autumn flavors such as the standard autumn fish and mushrooms, but it also went well with fried foods and nabe (hot pot). ☺️
