Purchased at an inn where we stopped for a day trip to a hot spring in Matsumoto City. Cold sake. The first sip is smooth and has a slight apple flavor. I wondered about the aroma, and as I continued to drink it, there was a slight sourness that came across my throat. I thought it would go well with any dish, so I started with boiled edamame (soybeans) in salted water, which is a standard dish, and the flavor of the sake seemed to stand out! A nice supporting role that will enhance the flavors of various dishes and at the same time make you want to enjoy the changes in the flavor of the sake itself.
