Today, it is Kame no Umi, which has a reputation that is growing by the day.
It is a sake from Nagano Prefecture.
For some reason, I found it at a liquor store in my neighborhood, which usually only carries local sake.
It must have been released around the end of the year.
When I opened the bottle and took a sip, I felt the sweetness and umami that is typical of Kame no Kai. It has more alcohol than the seasonal version of Kame no Kai, which seems to come up the throat. There is also a strong sourness and bitterness.
I have written a lot about it, but in a word, it is delicious, and I want you to try it.
My personal impression is that it is a mainstream sake in Nagano Prefecture.
It is close to Shinshu Kamerei and Daishinshu.
At any rate, it was a satisfying day 😊.
