I went to a sake festival at a liquor store!
They were offering free tastings, and after drinking a lot of brands of sake that I have never had before, I went to the next paid tasting.
All of Ota Sake Brewery's free tastings were served heated, but in the paid tasting, we were able to compare heated and cold aged sake!
The heated nigori sake was delicious, but the cold aged sake had a rounded acidity and was mellower and easier to drink than I had expected.
I thought it would be more sharp and dry, but I was pleasantly surprised...
I was drinking on a empty stomach, so I ate rice balls made of sake rice on the way. It was salted musubi, so I could enjoy the simple taste of the rice.
