Fudo was recommended to me by my favorite liquor store. It was my first time to try it. There were several types of Fudo, but I bought the Omachi because of my personal preference. It is also known as Fudo Purple. The label has a strong impact.
The aroma is fruity and juicy like strawberries, melon, and pears, and the creamy sweet aroma is gorgeous. The flavor is rich and full, with a sweetness, umami, and bitterness that is typical of Omachi, and the acidity is moderate. It was a delicious sake that was very easy to drink...a treat 😋.
