While wandering around Sendai Station, I spotted a Yonekaku sake tasting and sales booth!
The sales clerk standing there is one that I have run into at some point since the Yonekaku sake meeting in March, and we have become quite familiar with each other. I had to buy something since I had just met him!
This time, he told me that his specialties were hiyaoroshi and sparkling nigori, so I took home a bottle of sparkling nigori.
Since it was sparkling, I chilled it down hard and twisted the screw cap, which caused the liquid level to rise, but I opened the bottle without incident!
The aroma is not so much but as the temperature rises, it becomes more fruity.
The mouthfeel has a fizzy, bubbly feeling, and is drier than expected, with a crisp, refreshing taste! The aftertaste is slightly fruity, and the acid bitterness at the finish is also refreshing!
I would like to drink it three times in a 4-ounce bottle, one at a time, and enjoy the changes in flavor over time.
Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Colonel Lal, it has been a while. It has been a year since our first meeting at the Rice Crane Club. Thank you very much for your help on that occasion. Umashuwa is good. Please enjoy the taste change as well. I miss our year-end party at Rashai 😊 I hope to join you again somewhere.
