This is Mitsui no Kotobuki Spring Jungin Quadrifoglio from Miinotoshi in Fukuoka Prefecture (Mitsui County).
The Italian words on the label are La Primavera for spring and Quadrifoglio for the lucky four-leaf clover!
The sake rice is 100% Gin-no-sato, a Yamadanishiki type of rice newly developed in Kyushu in 2007, and the rice polishing ratio is 60% junmai ginjo.
The bottle's green and white label and quadrifoglio with a ladybug on the label are inspired by a springtime field of white tsumesho grass flowers.
It is said to be brewed with the aim of preventing first-time sake drinkers from disliking sake.
The appearance is slightly hazy rather than cloudy.
The aroma is fruity and refreshing, with a hint of sour pear and white flowers.
The mouthfeel is soft and light with fruity sweetness and acidity.
The overtone is as refreshing as the overtone.
The aftertaste is easy to drink, as it quickly recedes with a light acidity.
In a good sense, it does not feel like a sake, and is certainly an easy sake to recommend to first-time sake drinkers.
I heard that Miino Kotobuki releases this Italian label jungin series throughout the four seasons, so I would like to try it in other seasons in the future.
Thank you for the sake.
