I had been wondering what to do next with Kangiku since the Denshogiku Origari was so impressively delicious. When I was looking around the store, I was offered this one, "It just arrived..." This price for 39% polished rice is ridiculously cheap... Holy shit!
When I opened the bottle, it puffed! The aroma on the nose is pineapple-like and sweet.
It's energetic on the palate. It has a soft sweetness, but I don't think it's the type where the sweetness comes rushing forward. That's why it's so easy to drink even though it has the vigorous attack typical of new sake.
However, to be honest, I personally don't like the mouthfeel, aroma, and taste that are often associated with highly polished rice in this new sake.
However!
By the third day, it's more balanced, or the flavors have taken over, and it's getting closer to my liking, and it's pretty damn tasty!
Basically, it's an absolutely delicious sake, no matter who's drinking it!
Basically, it's an absolutely delicious sake for anyone to drink! For people like me who like their sake on fire, with low polish, and with miscellaneous flavors, the best time to drink it is after a few days have passed!
