Got my long awaited hana-yoko!
I heard it was pineapple juice so I was really looking forward to it ^^.
My impression is that it smells like pineapple! I've never had a sake with such a fruity smell before, so I was even more excited!
The taste... It's not quite pineapple juice, but if you taste it with your tongue, you can definitely taste the pineapple. It's not quite pineapple juice, but when you taste it on your tongue, you can feel the pineapple flavor, and then the bitterness follows. I drank it knowing that it would be insanely sweet, but it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be (laughs).
It's definitely a good sake, but I guess I was expecting too much from it, and I didn't think it would be that hard to find.
