Usually fire-aged, but this special version is a direct-draft sake with a hanging mouth.
A gentle ginjo aroma with a hint of fruity flavor behind the plump grain aroma.
Smooth mouthfeel with a slight gasiness, followed by the spread of plump rice flavor and a lingering acidity.
Overall, there are nuances reminiscent of blue bananas.
I expected this sake to be a food sake, but it is also delicious as a stand-alone drink!

Is this a sake using Watafune as the sake rice? I drank a sake made with Watafune No.2 from Nara's Mimuro cedar. I'm curious to know if there are more and more shochu made with Watafune No.2.
