Deep, fruity aromas that venture into wine territory. Apple, grapes, raisins, blackcurrant, dried fruits. Sweet and rich on the nose.
Palate does have some pungency of alcohol at first but this quickly fades, and forms into a dense, umami forward sake. Mushrooms and chestnuts, with some faint sweetness of dried fruits. This then breaks down into a bitterness like dark chocolate or cacao, then leaves with hints of green apple on the end.
A striking, full-bodied sake, rich in character.
