The two sakes were compared before and after the nigori sake was mixed.
The moment both are in the mouth, it is the mellow aroma and sweetness of the tasake that appeals strongly to the palate.
Plus, both have a tingling sensation on the tongue as if they are still fermenting in the mouth.
Before mixing, it was naturally light and refreshing, and after mixing, the sweetness remained for a while after drinking.
Both were snack-free, but the one before mixing went very well with the grotesque yellowtail kama in the foreground of the photo (no need for soy sauce).
For me, Tazake is a head and shoulders above the rest in umami.
