Fruity and umami flavors remain in good balance and cut off cleanly. Impression: Mellow, medium-dry with body. Tsururei is known for its light, dry taste, but this is a different world, a mellow, structured style. The aroma has a fresh fruit aroma unique to nama-shu, and the taste has a punchy attack and sweetness typical of nama-shu. The fullness derived from Yamada-Nishiki is well expressed, with a combination of flamboyance and rice flavor. The taste is unusual for a Niigata sake.
