This is a gorgeous Okuharima sake that is only available at this time of the year. It has an aromatic flavor of Yamahai, and the 80% polished rice ratio allows you to enjoy the true flavor of the rice. In a little while, the nearby roadside station will be filled with "taranobuds" and other spring vegetables whose names I don't even know. Tempura of spring vegetables and the freshness of spring sake go well together. The mellow flavor of cold sake, wrapped in a firm umami and acidity, mellows out when heated, making it an excellent sake for evening drinks.
