I had already tried Shu-ryori, a special junmai and its nama sake distributed only in Bando City, Ibaraki Prefecture, but I wanted to try the seasonal light nigori, so I made a trip to Bando City for the first time in a year and a half to purchase it. I could have bought it by mail order, but I wanted to buy it locally, and I also wanted to try the original Japanese confectionery "suzuki karinto man" because it is a sacred place for a certain manga. I had an image of Shu-ryoku as a slightly classic sweet and tasty sake like Raifuku, and when I drank this one with that in mind, I found it to be a modern nigorizake with a moderate sweetness and a sour umami flavor. (It's also available by mail order)... I'm not sure if I've updated my image of Raifuku, so I'll see what I can do about that 🤔.
