Last night was October 26th.
I was told that on days with a 6 in them, you can enjoy a 3-drink comparison of Shinmasa at Akita Kurasu.
I was told that the last order was 7:30 p.m., so I visited the restaurant just before the end of the day, but to my disappointment, I was told that there were no more available due to limited quantities!
When I asked what they had for single dishes, they told me that the Ace had run out at the last minute and they only had the Yonotori!
Since I had come all this way, I asked for it.
Kijoshu, good to start with!
It's good as an after-dinner drink, but I think it's also good to start with this sweetness on an empty stomach 👌
I had the iburi goko cheese 🧀 with crackers and sipped on it!

When sake is brewed with sake instead of water, it is called kijoshu. Shinsei-style sake is made with junmai sake, which has no alcohol added. It has a mild aroma of honey and citrus grapefruit, and in the mouth it has a rich sweetness reminiscent of the finest honey or noble wine, with an assertive acidity unique to Shinsei that gives the sake its full flavor.
