I purchased a bottle of Makihata from Takachiyo Shuzo in Niigata when I visited Houshi Onsen the other day.
I have had Takachiyo sake several times, but this was my first time to try this brand.
Compared to "Takachiyo", which is fruity and sweet, this one is dry and refreshing and seems to go well with any dishes 😊.
Incidentally, Makiki is named after Mt. Makiki, which is located on the border between Niigata and Gunma prefectures. Makiki-yama is a beautiful mountain that has been selected as one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan. I also do mountaineering, but I have yet to climb it, and it is one of the mountains I would like to visit😍.
