I'm getting back on track and doing New Year's properly. Heating sake with Osechi. The aroma of the wood is pleasant to drink from the Masu. Every New Year's Day, I decide to drink a new sake from Meikyojosui, which is a Japanese winter sake. It has a good balance of sweet, spicy, acidic, bitter and umami. It is not a milk boy, but on a radar chart, it has the same beautiful pentagonal shape as Kellogg's Corn Flakes. At worst, it is an uninteresting sake with no real quirks, but it is also a sake with a strong core that does not let the strong taste of Osechi get the best of it. Hot sake in the morning, it's New Year's.
