Sawanotsuru's vintage old wine 1991 and 2010.
1991
I was looking forward to drinking this sake to see what it tasted like when it was made before I was born. The deep, dark, and unique flavor spread out as soon as I took a sip. The aroma is very mellow and has a slight bitterness like black beer.
It goes well with vegetable stew.
2010
The moment it enters the mouth, it has a sweet, sweet, vanilla-like aroma. The mouthfeel is lighter and fresher than 1991.
Although we had prepared Japanese food for today's snack, it has a gorgeous flavor that would go well with Western food.
Both have their charms.
