The gentle and light aroma invites you to take a sip, and the smooth and fresh flavor spreads quickly. It is well-balanced with a soft sweetness derived from koji that is not too assertive, a subtle fruity aroma, and a subtle acidity and bitterness. The crispness of the sake, which quickly fades away, is pleasant, and you will not get tired of drinking it over and over again. The rice used is Fukushima Prefecture's original sake rice, Yumenokou. The delicate and clean taste has an elegant finish with a hint of glamour. Aruga Brewery, which brews this sake, is a long-established brewery with a 250-year history in Shirakawa, Fukushima. Yujiro Aruga, the master brewer, was originally engaged in life science research at university. He returned to his hometown after the earthquake, and has since applied his precise perspective and inquisitive mind as a researcher to the world of sake brewing. Aruga Brewery continues to brew sake with an eye to the next 100 years, based on the brewery's philosophy of "a lifetime of chic drunkenness. The brewery's aspirations and techniques are certainly reflected in the gentle yet core flavor of its sake.
