Yoshike has a good selection of Niigata sake, but I had never seen Gagakuyo, and when I went to the sake section in the middle of a huge crowd on New Year's Eve, I suddenly noticed Tenryohai Junmai sake. I thought, "Oh, I've never seen Garakuyo before! I thought to myself, and quickly went to the cash register.
I had bought a bottle of Garakuyo in a four-pack and had drunk some at the store.
When I looked on the official website, I saw that this junmai sake was also available and that I could drink it any way I liked! So I opened it without hesitation.
I opened it without hesitation. It is refreshing and has a nice sharpness! It's more sharp than full-bodied, but it's also thick, which I like. It's not too sweet, but it's not too strong either. I thought it had something in common with Gagakuyo, which I have had before.
It's a little cheaper than Gagakuyo, and this is good enough for everyday drinking. It is definitely a food sake that goes well with anything. It is refreshing and nice!
