Sake from Ozeki, Imazu-go, Nada.
After drinking Aki-shika and Aoi Tsuru, which I had left over from the previous week, I wanted to drink some more, so I had a bottle of Shin-Tanba, which was lying around in a corner of the house.
It has a rich calpis-like flavor and acidity.
The spiciness is quite crisp, cutting through the mellowness.
It is nigori sake, but there is almost no sweetness. It is specialized in spiciness with umami.
It is a good sake to drink with some snacks, but it is more enjoyable to drink it alone.
It is a sake that you can keep in your pocket instead of a cup, and it will fill up the loneliness of a solo trip on a local train heading north, watching Lake Biwa, and it will be a punchy partner.
