Just before Obon!
It was not so bad in Sendai, but the people in Iwate had a tough time. We would like to extend our sympathies to those affected by the disaster.
First Nishinoseki. I heard it is in the Hall of Fame as a sake that goes well with eel.
The top-tasting aroma is softly fruity.
The mouthfeel has a clear sweetness and firm umami. The aftertaste has a slight sake-like aftertaste, and is refreshingly light and crisp with a moderate acidity and bitterness.
The heaviness of the first half and the lightness of the second half are fresh and delicious!
The reason why this wine is in the Hall of Fame may be because it adds umami to greasy eel and drains off the fat in the last half of the bottle.
