ariccy
GI Niigata. Daiginjo using 100% Koshitanrei produced in Okuaga.
As a side note, I personally don't think that adding alcohol to a GI sake has much of an effect on its value.
The rice and water can only be from within the prefecture, but there are no restrictions on the alcohol.
Let's get back to the main topic.
The aroma is quite gorgeous even when using sake bowls
As you would expect from a daiginjo.
Fruity, sweet and elegant aroma like melon!
The taste is rich sweetness and umami that melts in your mouth, but then the acidity and alcohol make it flow smoothly down your throat, making it very smooth and tasty.
Overall, it is quite sweet, but with Niigata's characteristic clean sake quality and the smooth mouthfeel of a daiginjo, it is very easy to drink and is a delicious sake with a wonderful balance between drinkability and mouthfeel.
