The 3rd Yodobashi Umeda National Sake Festival (2)
WAKAZE booth
I was about to pass by the booth because I thought it was the canned sake sold at the convenience store where I drank before, but I was approached by someone, so I decided to drop by.
Then I saw a sake I'd never seen before, so I stopped by and tasted it!
It's been a long time since I've tasted a French-made WAKAZE!
THE BARREL Pinot Noir
It is stored in red wine barrels. Aroma of maturity and Western liquor. Slightly vanilla-like.
Slightly dry.
THE BARREL Cognac
Quite sweet, like a noble wine.
It used to be sold for about 3300 yen, but it is now much more expensive 💦.
There was a booth next to the rice and agave booths, but I didn't go to the Hanakaze booth because they didn't have tasting 😅.
I think Hanakaze is the only refrigeration required type of nama-zake at this event. (Other draft sake is Kikusui Funaguchi, etc.)
