We received again this year, the Sansho Yamada-Nishiki Ninonosai.
It is a stable standard sake. While I would like to drink Kako and Hozu sake, the Yamadanishiki Ninonosai is the best. Above all, it has the best cosmetics.
It is low in regulation, but I feel that it best represents the quality of sake that San-do aims for. The unique minerality and the gorgeous flavor of Yamada Nishiki are in perfect balance. Hozasu has a wildness to it, and Kako has a chewiness to it. I would like to try the Kako sake in particular again, but the Yamada-Nishiki Ninonozo is a sake that you can drink on a regular basis without getting tired of it no matter how many times you drink it.
If you want to know about your hometown, drink this first! If you want to know about Sansho, drink this first!
It is not easy to get Sandon, but I would like to buy it again if I have a chance.
