The Aizu rush continues with Genzai, Izumikawa, and Hiyuki, so I opened a bottle of this one that I got the other day!
I've been curious about this kijoshu type for a while, so my expectations are maxed out 🔥.
When we opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was fresh with green apple, pear and melon.
The palate is moist and round with a rich, dark sweetness.
However, it is immediately followed by citrus-like flavors and a crisp, light, acidic astringency. The sweetness disappears without being too persistent, making for a pleasantly slow and steady taste!
Of course, it has a crisp aftertaste as well, so even though it is a kijozo-shu, it is a terrific drinker 😈.
Surprisingly crisp and refreshing!
It is a balancer that is a new frontier of kijo-zake!
