A friend of my mom's bought this for me as a souvenir from Wakayama. It was my first time to try Kurogyu. It has a slight aroma and a slightly amber color. When you drink it, it has an umami taste, a firm rice flavor with an acidity that is not too assertive, and a slightly spicy taste when it goes down your throat. It is better to drink with a meal than by itself ๐Ÿ˜Š. It's better when it's slightly warmed up than when it's fresh out of the fridge, as it's mellower and more umami.
