Since it is the year of the dragon, I decided to go with Kuroryu for the New Year's sake for 2024🐉.
Rather than being fruity, it had the crispness and bitterness that I have known for a long time, which is typical of Japanese sake.
There are many sakes named after dragons, but this one was a gift from my younger brother on my 30th birthday, and I have fond memories of it! It has been a long time since I have had this sake, but it was delicious!
I hope to encounter many delicious sake this year!
January 8 - 1 week after opening the bottle
I felt the bitterness came forward more than when the bottle was opened. I usually don't do this, but I thought it could be served hot, so I warmed it up. I tried warming it up, but the flavor was too weak. Would it have tasted better if it was lukewarm?
It was the 10th anniversary of my grandma's death. We drank it all together.
I made ita wasabi with leftover kamaboko from New Year's. My nose hurt! My nose hurts. I'm crying...
