Happy New Year 🎉
So we're opening a special for the first time in the new year!
One we miraculously stumbled upon on our recent trip to Kyushu!
Nabeshima Akitsu Yamadanishiki 35% Junmai Daiginjo
This is a very special bottle brewed by Tomikuchiyo Shuzo (Nabeshima) with 35% special A Yamadanishiki from Tojo Akitsu in Hyogo Prefecture 😭.
It is a great sake in both name and reality, having won gold medals in Japan and Kyushu last year.
I've never had a sake that expresses such a full aroma of rice so well 👌✨.
It's a very elegant and delicious sake!
1) Soft sweetness
(2) Immediately followed by juicy and full rice flavor (ginjo aroma?). Yamada Nishiki? What the heck is this?)
(3) There is a lingering aftertaste, but it is sharp, refreshing and clean.
→(4) It goes very well with grilled crab (probably the best with any grilled food, especially vegetables and seafood. (Probably goes well with any grilled food, especially vegetables and seafood.)
It enhances the natural flavor of the ingredients!
It's also suitable for matching with meals like that!
And this time, we also compared it with Nabeshima's! (to be posted separately 😌)
Thanks to you, it's been a great start to the year!
Thank you, Tomikuchiyo Sake Brewery!
