Tsuruya supermarket in Nagano has the originals from several breweries in Nagano in different ranks. It's amazing. This is the bottom line, made from rice, rice malt, and brewer's alcohol, and costs around 400 yen for 500 ml. Compared to Kiyosujo Onigoroshi, this one is better when cold, but not as good when heated. It is a so-called "food sake," a sake with little taste, little aroma, and little alcohol, which is common in local sake (junmai or lower). I don't drink sake with meals, and if it is not suitable for heating up, this sake is not for me.
However, I have heard that a higher class is better and should be tried, so I would like to give it a try if I have the chance.
