This is one of the bottles I went to the liquor store the other day to purchase. Since I had a purpose, I was able to purchase that bottle of sake without incident. But I was stuck with one more bottle, so I asked the clerk for advice.
The clerk asked me what brand I usually drink, and I chose the one he recommended.
This sake was also hard to find. I tend to avoid Kyoto sake because I have the impression that it has a strong sweet taste.
It has been three days since I opened the bottle.
On the first day, a slight fizzy feeling despite the sake being kept at room temperature. As the waiter told me, this may be unusual for a sake other than nama-zake.
Today, the fizziness is gone and the sweetness rises like in Kyoto, but not so much, moving from a little sourness to bitterness in the middle part of the bottle, and finishing with spiciness. The sweetness asserts itself because of the lack of acidity, but it is more delicious than one might imagine.
And the price of less than 3,000 yen including tax for 1 shou is also attractive. It seems to be an option when you are in need.
