The first bottle of the new year was a bottle of Mizuo's Kinmon-nishiki brewed with Kinmon-nishiki that I had been saving. I opened it in time for Osechi.
The aroma is like sweet strawberries 🍓 but when you take a sip, it is unexpectedly refreshingly sweet and acidic. This gap may be a new experience for you. It is deeply delicious.
I will definitely visit the brewery with Iiyama castle ruins next time. Of course by Hokuriku Shinkansen 😁.
PS: It was pears, not strawberries. My nose is not so reliable as I thought.
