The third nigori of this season is Shichibonrya. We drank it last year in winter and summer, and it is one of the three most popular nigori in our house.
The bottle was opened quietly without any spills and the first sip gave the impression of being sweet with a strong effervescence. After stirring, the nigorigo becomes thicker and drier, giving it its usual deliciousness. It is a definite winner. We enjoyed it with our regular hot pot of rice topped with a variety of vegetables, a luxury only available this time of year.
