I hadn't been to a liquor store in a long time, but I was lost and eventually decided to consult with the clerk. I told him that I wanted something pichi pichi, and he introduced me to a few different sake, and I decided to purchase this one.
The reason was that this new sake had considerably more ori than usual than the pichi pichi, and he lifted the bottle to show me.
It is lighter in the mouth than I expected. Since it was immediately after purchase, we will be mixing the ori thoroughly. Sake from Kyushu has an image of being sweet, but not so much. The sweetness comes in the first half of the bottle as expected, but the umami of the rice comes in the middle. There is bitterness and spiciness in the last half. This does a good job.
The alcohol content is light at 14 degrees, and overall it is a well-balanced sake. It seems to go well with snacks with strong flavors.
