Masaaki Sapporo
8 points (wife: 7 points) Ingredients : Rice (domestic), Rice malt (domestic) Rice Source:Toryoken Strong Rice Rice polishing ratio:50 Sake meter degree: +5 Acidity: 1.6 Yeast used: No.9 yeast Alcohol percentage: 16 Sake store: Senmaru (Sapporo, Japan) Silent when opened No gas feeling Slightly sweet rice malt top note The aroma is like weak grapes and melon mixed with the top-fermented aroma, the full rice flavor and moderate sweetness spreads zingily with soft acidity, and it finishes quickly with a slight bitterness and the dryness of alcohol. It has a modest but pleasant aroma and a good balance of rice flavor, and goes well with meals. It is also delicious as a stand-alone sake. It went well with boiled lighthouse tadpole in salted water, macaroni salad with squid, spicy pickled okra, grilled herring, fried oysters, and chilled tofu. Kewpie's lemon tartar is a nice touch, but the lid is not the type that pops open.
