I went to a liquor store that I don't usually visit and found a bargain. I found a bottle of Kaiun Hiyayogoshi and a bottle of Honjozo. Today, I had it at room temperature with fried aji (horse mackerel). It has been cooler here in Osaka since three days ago, and sake at room temperature goes in easily. Seafood, Kaiun, and Shoyuki are all good choices, but Shizuoka sake goes well with aji. It is delicious. This is the first time for me to drink a Honjozo class Kaiun, but it is just as I imagined. It is a beautiful sake, but it has a clear and pleasant aftertaste. You can't go wrong with Kaiun.
