We received a bottle of Tsururei Hourei Mellow.
A colleague of mine, who lives in Niigata, gave me a set of the sake cup as a souvenir from his hometown.
I looked up the name of the brand on the internet, so I may be wrong 💦.
The aroma is mild, but has a slightly Japanese flavor.
In the mouth, the robust umami of rice spreads out, then gradually turns dry in the mid-palate, and then quickly dies down.
It is delicious!
It certainly lives up to its mellow name.
It was served with sashimi and simmered dishes, and since it was only one cup, it was gone in an instant (laugh).
